The Princess and the Frog

Directed by Cory Southwell
Written by Kate Swenson
Streaming online through August 8th
Frieda the Frog may not be the coolest kid in the swamp, but she refuses to let her local community center get torn down to make way for a spa! Her stirring speeches inspire her friends to sign Frieda up for a speech contest. If she wins, she can donate the prize money to save the center and stop the spa.
But Frieda and her friends are not the only kids with goals. The meanest flock in town, the Feathers, won’t stand for a bunch of slimy amphibians getting in the way of their facials. When the speech contest mysteriously gets changed to a cheer contest, the Frieda and friends feel defeated. Their only hope lies in recruiting a real-life princess—who knows more about throwing a fit than lending a hand.
With a wacky cast of crustaceans, insects, a secretive vulture, and a fairy godperson, this comedic gem pays homage to beloved films of the early 1990s. A twist on an old tale that will leave audiences cheering!
Run time: 50 minutes
