YTN On Camera
New! Film Conservatory
(For actors grades 6th - 12th)
Do you want to try your hand at film making? Have you been wishing YTN did a film project that was not horror? This is your program!
During the Conservatory time, students will brainstorm and write five-minute screenplays with the guidance of our film veteran, Kim Douthit and guest artists who are professionals in the industry. After the short scripts are written, students will be split into teams to shoot, and edit with coaching from a cinematographer and a professional editor. All the films will be shown in May at YTN’s first film festival. Whether you want to act, direct, edit, or compose music for film, you should start your journey as a film maker by experiencing all the aspects involved.
No audition necessary, but you must fill out an application to be accepted in the program.
