Fan Music Videos

Youth Theatre Northwest's productions of the musicals 13 and Shrek Jr. were scheduled for this year's Summer Season but, due to COVID-19 restrictions, they have been postponed to next year. Rather than sit around and mope, though, we figured out a safe way to still sing and dance and celebrate the talent of these young artists. We hope this video series will cheer you up, generate some good energy, and give you something to look forward to for next year. It certainly did those things for all of us at YTN.

2020 Summer of Horror

(Best for age 12+)

In 2018, Youth Theatre Northwest launched its first-ever filmmaking project, Summer of Horror. A small group of teens created their very own horror film from scratch. What started as an experiment has grown and evolved into a larger program.

Students from grades 6 to 12 hone on-camera skills acting in horror shorts that are shot during the summer months. The footage is professionally shot, edited, scored, and directed.  The films premiere during the Halloween season.

Below are the trailers from 2020's Summer of Horror: Scream Scene written by Martina Dalton, Vanishing Tree written by Maggie Lee, and Den Busemann written by Kate Swenson.

All films were directed by Kim Douthit, filmed by Michael Yakovich, and edited by Nate Lessler.
